Having researched several calorie shifting diet plans, I found Fat Loss 4 Idiots to be the front-runner for several reasons.

Weight loss experts tell us that natural, healthy weight loss occurs at the rate of 2 to 2-1/2 pounds per week. This is the optimal rate in terms of health and nutrition. But there are times when a more rapid weight loss method is needed and there are several ways of achieving this.
One way is to take appetite suppresants and “Fat Burning” supplements. But these should not be taken for an extended period of time. Luckily, there are a few natural, and healthier, ways to bring about the same result. One of these methods could be adopted as a “lifestyle change”, but most are still only for emergency use.

Calorie Shifting Menu
The Calorie Shifting Menu is the basic component of the calorie shifting diet plan. The nicest thing about it is, you don’t have to create it, it’s done for you. One of the biggest flaws in many diets is the time you have to spend counting, calculating, reading labels, and measuring. It can consume your whole day, and if you have to work for a living or look after a family, you just don’t have time for all that.

Here are a few things that you will need, and need to know, before you embark on your calorie shifting diet cycle.
Mindset- The proper mindset is a vital component in the success of any endeavor, and that certainly includes fat loss. It’s a good idea to spend some time thinking of the benefits, to you, of losing weight. Stand in front of a mirror and imagine the image that you would like to see looking back at you. Write down your weight loss goals on a piece of paper and tape it to your refrigerator or other obvious place. Read it every morning and motivate yourself to have a good fat loss day.

So what is “calorie shifting”?
Calorie shifting is a method of fat loss which has gained a lot of popularity in recent years. It is based on the premise that the metabolism can be “fooled” by eating from different food groups in a certain pattern. One meal may provide protein and fat only, the next may be almost exclusively carbohydrates.
This is certainly healthier than any diet which excludes a food group entirely, like the Atkins Diet. Though you may exclude carbohydrates in one meal and fat in the next, you still get a good overall balance.
