Calorie Shifting – Rapid Weight Loss

Weight loss experts tell us that natural, healthy weight loss occurs at the rate of 2 to 2-1/2 pounds per week. This is the optimal rate in terms of health and nutrition. But there are times when a more rapid weight loss method is needed and there are several ways of achieving this.

One way is to take appetite suppresants and “Fat Burning” supplements. But these should not be taken for an extended period of time. Luckily, there are a few natural, and healthier, ways to bring about the same result. One of these methods could be adopted as a “lifestyle change”, but most are still only for emergency use.

Protein shakes are a dime a dozen. However a high-quality protein drink that is both homemade and nutritious is a rare find. Most protein drinks today have traveled the path of least resistance — cheap and potentially dangerous sweeteners, sugar alcohols (in order to bring down the supposed “carb count”), and protein sources that are often dubious…and accompanied with more outrageous claims than grams of the good stuff.
